Valuement Russia is looking for a:

 Data & Business Analyst

a passionate confirmed Data & Business Analyst. He/she joins the international IT team in a matrix organization, attached to the Head of Business Services and under the functional responsibility of the General Manager of the Russia

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The main mission is to turn processes, systems, and data from our customers into information, information into insight and insight to business value to carry out our consulting missions. The successful applicant will serve as the liaison between the client, our operational teams, and our Smart Data department.

Strategic issue for the company, the candidate will value complex data sources, develop the knowledge of our customers’ processes, and provide high level support to our business consultants.

Mainly oriented around financial and operational data of the retail industry, the main projects on which the candidate will work are:

·      Study client’s environment in order to define business needs;

·      Define client’s data sources (ERP or home-made software) required for our projects;

·      Work with management to prioritize business and information needs;

·      Locate and define new process improvement opportunities for our analysis;

·      Conduce part of lifecycle data analysis : Data model analysis, checks, final enrichments;

·      Drive data handling activities done by our internal Data Services team.

·      Provide data support four our consultants (documentation, training, support);

·      Develop solutions with the team for automating and simplifying data analysis;

·      Participate in cross-functional team projects (e.g. consulting – audit – IT)

In addition he/she will also participate or manage :

·      To the group’s projects (Process automation, Software developments, New business services, etc.);

·      Data-science projects (algorithms, new analysis concepts, Client’s data acquisition processes automation, etc.).

HARD AND SOFT SKILLS

Coming from an engineering or business school with learning in computer science or applied statistics, the ideal candidate has:

·      3+ years of relevant hands on analytical experience, with the ability to manage the analytical process and translate the findings from the data into recommendations for our partners

·      Ideally experienced in audit and in retail industry with exposure to financial/treasury/commercial area

Technical skills:

  • Advanced SQL skills including experience querying complex data sets;
  • Medium VBA skills in conjuncture with SQL
  • Fair experience in data mining and data visualization (Knowledge of tools like R, Tableau, etc.);
  • Ideally familiar with the ETL and/or BI tools and/or Python;
  • Bonus points for know-how of SAP, Qlik, PowerBI;
  • Project management basics;
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral;
  • English proficiency;

Soft skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;
  • A business service oriented mind;
  • Usually see challenges as opportunities;
  • Result oriented mind;
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral;
  • Able to manage projects (plan, do, follow);
  • are independent and committed to see your projects until the end and you always push for great quality work;
  • Know that details are important, but you always keep in mind the full context;
